5 Tips for working from home! #1 - Find a place in the house which is dedicated to work! Ideally this should be a space that is away from distractions (TV, Family etc ) and should be a space that you don’t associate to another activity which may be more enticing - Your bed being a great example! #2 - Get dressed, we are not saying put on a suit & tie however the act of getting dressed for work definitely helps trigger your brain to say “its time for work”. #3 - Define your working hours, communicate them to your household and be sure to focus on work when its time to work and switch off when its time to switch off! #4 - The concept of deep work is taken from Cal Newports book and can also be said as getting into a flow state where distractions are eliminated and productivity levels are high! #5 - Work 90 minutes, take a 15 minute break (play with different blocks of time and see what works for you ). In your break, grab a coffee, do something to get your blood flowing (squats, burpees, skip etc ), and get some vitamin D! #workfromhome #worklifebalance
