The Girl Who Tells The Truth (@cristina.the.activist)

The state is, without a doubt, a destructive and formidable beast that exists at the expense of the individuals it claims to serve. And, if we are not careful, our loathing will consume us to a point where personal responsibility is lost in a sea of perpetual blame. By shifting blame to others, people relieve themselves from responsibility and us, as animal rights activists who advocate: “let’s not blame and shame the individuals, let’s blame the state, capitalism, the system, politics, customs etc” are feeding into this mentality. What happens when we do this? We hold hands with people wallowing in self-pity instead of helping them by being unapologetically direct and honest in hopes they take ownership of THEIR choices. Instead of casting blame on nonvegans, we make the state the scapegoat. Why? The government ruins people’s lives on a daily basis. Why don’t we take control of our own attitudes and strive to prosper in the face of adversity, no matter what the state might throw our way? “We cannot give this parasitic entity the satisfaction of keeping us oppressed.” While we keep using this parasitic entity as an excuse for us to oppress others. “I have been a part of many conversations that centered on insulting and blaming the state, and every single grievance was wholly justified. But what if, instead of simply complaining, we criticized by creating something new?” Show people the truth about what the animals go through due to their choices, let the animals speak for themselves, stop giving people excuses for THEIR own actions by blaming the state. Instead of simply complaining that the government and the system have brainwashed us into being murderous parasites, WE, the ones who know better, have launched a giant movement for the animals haven’t we? So why don’t we focus on the animals, by spreading their message of despair, unapologetically, but instead we keep giving people excuses to not take responsibility? “Don’t blame capitalism, the radical left, or the iniquity of your enemies. Don’t reorganize the state until you have ordered your own experience.” Continued in comments ⬇️
