The song is The rain and it’s my fav. Woke up feeling very offish. Tried to locate the source but I couldn’t localize it and soon I got over trying to, being aware and still, is all I really could manage. I am grateful for how good it felt to step outside and have the rain and air meet me here, in my gloom. This morning’s session was spent mostly breathing and hoping to mirror how at ease the trees and birds seemed to be. These rocks at this waterfall were so slippery. And I found this out in the worst way possible, by falling. The pain was excruciating. “Don’t go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you used to” from then on for me will always have a physical and literal feeling attached to it. But do you think that stops me? Nope. I’m hoping to chase more waterfalls. And ultimately do more falling. That’s just how my mind works. My goodness I had a long day today. I don’t think I breathed deeply enough. So I’m looking forward to coming undone on the mat. Meet you at 7pm lovers. We’ve done quite a lot of strengthening of our arms and back, tonight we’ll go a little lower or higher if you’re inverted and feeling upside down, by focusing on the lower back, thighs and hips. Bought these (tulips I think ) just before lockdown but my clumsy ass forgot that I broke the vase that would be more ideal to keep them in. Lovers there’s a little change of plans for today’s IG live yoga session. Our President has requested that all South Africans observe a moment of prayer between 6-6:30 pm. To honor that, I think it’s best we meet on the mat at 5:30pm. Does the work for everyone else? I’m open to any other suggestions if you have one, and still amped to breath and move with you along this journey. Take care of yourselves!💛
Good morning lovers, how are you guys feeling? This water baby is missing the ocean already but I’m trusting that we’ll be enjoying the simplest things in life very soon. Visualizing better times ahead has helped me through the anxiety a whole lot more than absorbing all the overload of information going around right now. What do you filter through and what do you consume? The other thing that’s brought calm, rest and restoration to my overthinking and that I look forward to everyday are the yoga sessions we have together. I’m very grateful to each of you who take the time to show up for yourself by showing up for each other. And I’m grateful for the other many ways you’ve promoted social distancing yet found ways to connect and remember how we are all in this together. See you tonight, bring your breath and body. You guys are so awesome for showing up yesterday. So today, we do it again, a session of breathing and yoga at 6pm CAT via IG live. Bring your breath and your body. If you don’t have a yoga mat, layer some towels or blankets to cushion you from the ground. Hope you’re having an awesome day lovers.
How’s everyone feeling? I think it’s also so ok to not know the answer to that yet. Every moment for me is different and is influenced a lot by the information I interact with and who I am around. Since we have been restricted to physically interacting with one or two people, and in some cases no one at all, i’d like for everyone to consider we come together here online, for a live session of yoga for 30 minutes. I am not going to guide it or teach it, I’m merely encouraging us to lean on each other, even if it means virtually, so we continue to see each other as one during these times. I’m hoping that the hope and healing we want will be harnessed by our stillness, our moving when we need to, all the whilst we do nothing but breath and be present. We feel like we don’t have control of the situation at hand, and maybe we don’t, but may we try to remember that we do have control of this moment in time, and may we have the courage to do what is necessary even if it means being still, and finding more ways to come together in mind and spirit.

How is everyone really feeling? It’s a wonder I’ve carried around as I tried to navigate through my own feelings and obviously realized I am not quite certain yet what to feel. ———————————————— Amidst the uncertainty, I naturally immersed myself in what I am certain of. The mat, which has become my natural habitat, music and love (even stories of how complicated love can be will do, currently reading a Toni Morrison novel that’s doing the things ). ———————————————— On uncertainty again, here’s another wonder...how many more pandemic outbreaks, before we realize the collective pulse we share, how many more fires to put out before we allow compassion to drive us and not our differences, and of these fires, who gets to decide which ones matter most and which ones don’t? Even when it hurts everywhere. ———————————————— Hoping for you a stillness, certainty and love that endures effortlessly through out this week. And the ones that follow. I finally put together a playlist of my favs (in stories along with the longer version of this session ) who go so good with the feeling i get on the yoga mat. Breath. Set your intention.
