black lives will always matter. today is a day to share and to celebrate the work of black artists, authors, everyone. today is a day to share to the public how they can speak out. how they can help stop this disgusting oppression. recognize your privilege. recognize it and use it to fight against the oppression of black citizens. #blackouttuesday ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

last home game of the season, senior night, jones visiting. ‘twas an emotional night.
marching season 2019. a season of lessons, change, and growth. this marching season has been really interesting, to say the least. we were forced to grow and change with things not all of us agreed with. but look at where we are now. from the first time we ever preformed The Spark, to now. we’ve all grown as people, and as a group we’ve grown. i’m so proud to be within such a family-knitted group of so many talented individuals. a season i’ll never forget. 💚
you know we had to do it to em. best in class, best visual, best music, best general effect, 4th place overall. to the esprit de corps, thank you for giving me a second family, a safe space, and an outlet for all things terrible in life. i love each and every one of you. 💚🧠💥

killer whales up close with Makani💙 probably one of the best experiences of my entire life. thank you @kiaalua for reserving the tour for me, i love you!
thank you seniors. thank you for making this year one to remember. thank you for helping me. thank you for the laughs. that you for whatever advice you may have given me this school year. thank you for everything. you truly are some of the most amazing people i know, and i am blessed to know you. while i will miss you guys, so much, i hope you have a great time wherever you’re headed (you still better come visit me! ). i love you guys. 🥺❤️
tonight, the Burnet EDC came together to reflect on this amazing musical year. we shared memories, we laughed and we cried. words cannot express how amazing this year has been, how many obstacles i’ve overcome, and most importantly, how many amazing people i have met. the people i’ve had the pleasure of being in band with this year have made this the best band i have ever been apart of. we’ve gone to state. we’ve made sweepstakes. we’ve taken best in class. we’re the EDC, representing Spirit, Pride, and Honor for our school and community. while making fun of each other in the process. and yes, i did receive the Mayonnaise award tonight.
my feet were killing me the whole time. but spring concert was the best concert i’ve ever been in. this band is also the best band i’ve ever had the honor of being in. today was pretty bittersweet knowing it was a lot of my friends last performances with our band. i’m gonna miss u all so much. ❤️ (swipe for a surprise. )
