On January 15, 1929, Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of a Baptist minister. King received a doctorate degree in theology. In 1955, he helped organize the first major protest of the African-American civil rights movement: Montgomery Bus Boycott. Influenced by Mohandas Gandhi, he advocated civil disobedience and nonviolent resistance to segregation in the South. The peaceful protests he led throughout the American South were often met with violence, but King and his followers persisted, and the movement gained momentum.King appealed to Christian and American ideals and won growing support from the federal government and Northern whites. In 1963, Bayard Rustin and A. Philip Randolph led the massive March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom; the event’s grand finale was King’s famous “I Have a Dream” address. Two hundred and fifty thousand people gathered outside the Lincoln Memorial to hear the stirring speech. In 1964, the civil rights movement achieved two of its greatest successes: the ratification of the 24th Amendment, which abolished the poll tax, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibited racial discrimination in employment and education and outlawed racial segregation in public facilities. Later that year, King became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize. In the late 1960s, King openly criticized U.S. involvement in Vietnam and turned his efforts to winning economic rights for poor Americans. April 4, 1968, he was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. ❤️👼🏿

...for the past couple of days, i have been looking for the proper words to explain how shocked I am to hear that you got murdered. At first I was gonna post this picture of my trip to the lake in Massachusetts yesterday, but I felt like this mattered more to put up because your music, your art, your words, and ambition to make a change for yourself and everyone else in the world around you is what drew me closer to your character. Not just as an artist, but as a human being. I understand , to those of you who would backlash me for saying rip to “an abuser” but let’s not forget the amount of celebrities inside the music industry and Amy other industry formed in artistry being displayed on tv and media that are still appraised to this day but are forgotten for all the cruel shit they have done. X made an effort as he was getting older to re-evaluate his situation that impacted his fans internally to change his ways for the better, not just as an artist, but as a person at heart. You’re insane man lol, like your music hit extremities from highs and lows that really touched my soul as well. And I just think it’s fucked for people to say death to another artist not him but it would be equally catastrophic to somebody get killed at a young age too over dumb shit. Nobody deserves to be killed at young age, regardless of whatever the reason maybe. What I’m just happy for you man is that now you don’t have to suffer pain and sadness anymore, you’ll be going down in the books as a legend in the industry, from being one of the most hate- targeted rappers in the industry to one of the most beloved artists fan will talk about for generations to come. You’re music and cult following skyrocketed within just two days since you died. I’ll always remember as a young talented wild boy who was for the people and the world 🌎. I love you man. Hope to see you the other side one day. #rip X ❤️ & before I take off RiP Peep 🕊 RiP Fredo 😤 (And yes....I was a true X fan. I played his music religiously almost every night and day on my ig story and Snapchat on and off the social media [for you trolls out there] )
I DONT WANNA DIE IN THE 518
Reality says they've passed away Is not perception reality For I feel a living presence as though They stand right next to me Those guiding hands of long ago So firm against my brow As strong and gentle as yesterday Is the warmth which I know now That legacy of the distant past Still a mighty roar Memories sustain my soul And on whose wings I soar Reality says they've passed away Silenced in death and then Perception says they're just as close And real as way back when ~James B. Earley
The Thing That Itches Deep - 5/8/18 written by Me when my heart goes blank, I feel nothing but shrouds of darkness I want to escape this shaky feeling I have just so people can know I am harmless My mind has built-in thoughts that want to come out But how can they when no one wants to know about There’s pain inside that I never like to show Just wish someone can hold me tightly, I guess you reap what you sow Alone in the dark to and think is such a terrible burden to bear Putting a gun to my head Thoughts of suicide when no ones there Words are meaningless now since no one wants to listen Only time they want to act like they were always there is when they find out I bought a smith & Wesson Everything feels so backwards now I don’t know where to turn Whether I’m alive or dead, I still feel destined to burn
Earth standing still as I pace through these back blocks, Seeing cars pass by,life passing by as mine docks This bus stop life has got to end if I’m ever going to make the pain mend Wanting to see success come around the corner, be patient they tell me, but how can I when over a hundred people rising rapidly from off the corner I now reach 82 years of age, Time really flew by, I was patient as ever before, living my life in sigh The world moves faster each and everyday, I tell this to you kids, make it big and live your life as fast as you can, so you don’t live your life doing a bid. “Seeing the World Turn” #poem; 3/22/18 written by me.
What a beautiful drive it was the other day to take photos of this gorgeous viewpoint. The entire area surrounding these mountains felt like a whole different atmosphere that I just landed on and it was calming, so peaceful.
