New YouTube video is live! Link in bio. . PAST LIVES - the past is just a story we tell ourselves. My latest film is inspired by this line in “Her” (2013 ). . Sometimes all the travels and things I get up to feels surreal. It has honestly been pretty hard to keep track & remember the places I’ve been in the past year. . That’s one advantage of shooting video - it is a running record of life. The screen grabs above are some frames from the film. . Go check it out on a TV or Desktop screen in 4K and let me know what you think 😊 . Also cheers to everyone in the vid and to all the people I was lucky enough to meet in person last year.
Shiprock adventures. This day was probably my favourite of our US road trip. There is something freeing about being in nature, in the middle of nowhere, miles from the nearest sign of civilisation. . P.S. I’m judging the #LaCieAdventureComp photo comp. Win some @lacie_tech SSD / HD storage! See their page for full details. . Photo of me by my buddy @tk_north on my #pixel4
Shrouded in fog. . Please note that this is fog, not bushfire smoke. It’s an old photo taken in winter. . The bushfire situation in Australia however, is very real. If you want to help you can donate - there are some links in my bio.
Pinch & zoom. How are you?
It’s all a matter of perspective. . Do you prefer street or nature photography? . Personally I go through phases of obsession with both. When I shoot too much street, I crave to get out in nature - and vice versa. I love them both equally though, so I’m keen to get back to Japan soon and shoot a mix of both. . @street .classics #streetclassics
Shibuya subway series 02/03 . I’ve been working on sets of Instagram filter luts. This is one of them. You’ll be able to use them on your own Instagram stories! I’ll launch this one pretty soon - keep an eye on my stories & profile. . What should I name this filter?
🎌 Tickets are booked! I’m headed back to Tokyo - my favourite city in the world (with a detour to somewhere snowy first 🤫 ). . I’m thinking about vlogging it / making some YouTube videos from this trip. Anything you’d like to see / want me to make in particular? Vlogs about photography? Travel? Street? Food? . Here’s a collection of some of my favourite videos that I’ve posted this year. . Which one do you like most? . My favourite of them all is probably the second one (infinite salaryman loop ) because of the technical things I was able to achieve & learn from creating it. You can check my story highlight “Adobe Made Here” to see how I made it.
Which one do you prefer? 1 or 2? . They’re both roughly the same proportion & frame but shot different focal lengths. It makes such a huge difference tho: . Image 01 - 67mm, f8, ISO100 @ 3.2” - It is a tele photo shot and you can really tell by the compression of the image, composition and subject. I was much further away and it really emphasises the scale of the subject vs the waterfall. A slower shutter speed also exaggerates the water flow and makes it nice and silky. . Image 02 - 33mm, f2.8, ISO1250 1/125” - Wide angle shot with me physically a lot closer to the subject. Although the waterfall is roughly the same size in the image, the subject is quite a lot bigger. This gives it a more intimate / pov. The fast shutter speed catches all the movement & detail of the waterfall. . Let me know your thoughts on these in depth captions. You’re all at different levels in your photography and I just wanted to gauge if info like this is helpful or not ✌🏼

It’s beginning to look a lot like.. . Seems this pic is making the rounds again. It is probably one of my more viral images on IG - gaining me about 10-20k followers alone in it’s first run. . I’ll edit up some footage from this day and share it with you all later this week. . Hope you all had a good weekend.
The Hive. This is the lesser seen backside of Shiprock. It totally looks like something out a alien landscape hey - like the final boss’ lair. . I shot this as a vertical panorama on my Mavic 2 Pro. See my stories for a taller vertical pano (and free wallpaper ). . P.S. we wrapped season 01 of the @529podcast ! Check out the final episode on YouTube or iTunes / Spotify. . @skysupply #skysupply
Hoping to seek more adventure & experiences like this one in the coming year. Can’t believe the year is almost up - just wait for all the top 9’s to start on IG 😅 . What is the achievement you’re most proud of this year? . Mine is broad, but it’d be surviving another year of freelance with a healthy amount of travel ticked off. . Thanks @jonagrey & @laurenlsutton for freezing your feet off.
Once upon a time in Hollywood. . Cinema has always been a big source of inspiration for my work. Not sure if I liked Tarantino’s latest - what’d you think of it? . Hoping to shoot more moody cinematic sets of photos to accompany a shorts in the coming year. I can’t believe the year is almost over 🤯 . Anyway, thanks for sticking around this year. . Death Valley holds the record for being the second hottest place on earth. . How are you all? Is Instagram still a thing? Drop a comment below if you’re not a bot / alive & well.

Cali diner vibes w/ @jordanehare . Had a lot of fun shooting ports with Jordan in Cali last month. I think this is one of the diners from Pulp Fiction? Someone fact check me. . 🎙529 ep 14 is out ft @rocket_k ! He’s a multitalented commercial photographer. Watch the full ep on our YouTube. . Link is in bio. #529podcast
PRADA, MARFA. . This is actually a fake Prada store / artwork installation by Elmgreen & Dragset. . Driving to Marfa there is nothing but a flat, dry desert landscape for miles with nothing in sight. Then out of nowhere appears a single lit up building - a random Prada store. . It’s an installation I’ve wanted to see for a while now! Just to happens that we wrapped a commercial project out in Marfa with the lads @adrian_emerton & @jonagrey so we were able to stop by on the way.
